Mars Symbioscience Indonesia islocated in Makassar seeking fora talented candidate to join ourinnovative and dynamic R&D Team as:

Process Development Engineer
Sulawesi Selatan

Responsibilities:

•     Works to develop or ensure basic scientific understanding of the process and its interactions during scale-up.
•     Required to deliver key process specifications for all internally processed raw materials.     
•     Execute research plans and conducts research on key processes.
•     Develops innovative solutions to process issues and provides process technical solutions and innovation to Engineering.
•     Required to do research from bench-top to finished product, including research from literature review, laboratory analysis, pilot plant trials and plant trials.
•     Work as part of the engineering team to assist in the management of scale-up risk and introduction of technology into supply chain.
•     Builds functional expertise and knowledge for process in the areas of process control, process capability, unit operations, and scale-up impact on ingredient and product stability/shelf life.

Overview:
This position performs raw materials research and technology development and innovation. The position is responsible for carrying out research and technology developments internally and will be required to work externally with suppliers and external research institutions.  Required to communicate both orally and written, across functions, to facilitate value capture by the business.
The position will have temporary assignment in Mars USA for a year as part of training and development program.

Requirements:
    Key Functional Skills/Knowledge:
        A solid understanding of the key scientific principles associated with food systems, and ingredient and ingredient/process interactions, is critical.
        In conjunction with a general knowledge of food science and chemistry
        Critical thinking and logical problem solving skills.
    Desired Education:
        Bachelor degree (or Master degree is preferred) in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry or a closely related scientific field is required
    General Requirements:
        Excellent in English (both written and spoken), with a TOEFL score of 500-550.
        Computer literate and having good communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning, presentation, problem solving skills and fast learner
        Having an excellent passing grade (min GPA : 3,00 scale 4)
